Serenity was built by Petoskey's first architect in 1890, with two glass-enclosed porches that invite you to relax with a good book or indulge in conversation with other guests.

Spring, summer and fall bring a variety of colorful blooms to Serenity's West Garden. Margaret's Garden (pictured here) is named in tribute to our mother. Margaret's love and inspiration has shaped our lives, our home and our garden. It is truly a place to remember how much we need Serenity in our lives.
 
 
Our Dining Room is the beginning of each new day and many new friendships. A full breakfast is served daily at 8 and 9am. Renowned menus range from Carmel-Apple French Toast to delicious Sunday brunch casseroles and Marjorie's Apricot Mango Medley. A lighter fare is available upon request, as well as vegetarian meals (pre-arranged.)

 
 
  The Large Porch is a favorite spot for morning coffee and a few minutes of reading before breakfast. Delicious snacks and beverages are served each afternoon. Many quiet evenings are enjoyed here with gentle breezes that calm a busy day of shopping, sightseeing or golf.
 
 
An aura of quiet elegance prevails amidst the fine antiques and gracious charm of Serenity's Living Room. With comfortably appointed seating, there's lots to read while you soak in the ambiance of 19th century woodwork, lace, and tranquil music.
